Maternal Wellness, Mental Health & Lactation Educator

Maziwa Tribe is the division of our practice dedicated to providing evidence-based breastfeeding education and support before pregnancy, throughout pregnancy, during the postpartum period, and beyond—helping families feel informed, confident, and supported every step of the way.

Founded in 2018, Maziwa Tribe aims to inspire parents to embrace their breast/chestfeeding journey.  We empower families through education, encouragement, and compassionate support, helping them make informed feeding decisions that are realistic, sustainable, and right for their family.

We value:

- The need for culturally responsible and accessible breastfeeding support services.

- Positive energy, inspiration, and community, all essential tools for the breastfeeding journey.

- The beauty of all familial partnerships and dynamics.

- The integration of maternal mental health as a key component of overall wellness.

- The normalization of breast/chestfeeding through motivation, evidence-based information, and cool swag.

Maziwa, which means "milk" in Swahili, reflects our commitment to breastfeeding education and support. Tribe represents the importance of surrounding yourself with a community of encouragement, compassion, and trusted guidance throughout your feeding journey. We believe families thrive when they feel informed, supported, and empowered. No matter where you are on your breastfeeding journey, we offer a variety of services and resources designed to meet you where you are!
